Versatile, strong and lightweight, the LAVA is your best bet if you want one paddle to do it all.

This full carbon paddle shares much of the same DNA as our premier race and surf paddles (Hydro and Surge), but features a more forgiving blade design thats better suited for a less aggressive and lower cadence paddle stroke.

Scooped Dihedral Blade Technology

The Lava blade is designed to correct poor alignment often associated with fatigue and injury. TheScooped Dihedral shaping holds the water securely through the power phase, eliminating lateral blade movement and delivering force in a smooth and efficient manner.

The extension of the tapered scoop towards the toe allows the paddle to remain stable and deliver power, even if you fail to get the full blade in the water. This toe shaping also ensures a clean catch and efficient blade release.

Overall, the Lava blade design delivers a predictable and efficient paddle stroke which encourages the use of smaller blades while protecting your body from injury and reducing fatigue.

Ten Degrees Blade Angle Promotes Comfort And Feel

We designed the Lava blade to be a little more forgivingand suit a less aggressive and lower cadence paddle stroke.The moderate 10 blade angle promotes an a smooth paddle stroke and a little more comfort than the Hydro.

Structural Blade Stability

The ridge along the front of the blade increases stiffness both vertically and laterally, resulting in increased strength. This structure helps the blademaintain better stability for a predictable feel you can count on. For the Lava we wanted a little more blade flex for increased comfort, so the Power Ridge is more subtle than on the Hydro or Surge.

Ergonomic Handles And New Slimline Adjustment

Our ergonomic 100% carbon handles come with a vivid red matte finish. The T handle is often preferred by paddlers in the surf and those with smaller hands. The flat front gives immediate feedback while surfing.

The Palm handle is enjoyed by paddlers on flat water and those with bigger hands. The matte finish is ideal in hot or cold climates.

The Lava also receives a major upgrade with a completely redesigned ergonomic clamp systemwhich is now available on both standard and slim shaft options.

Reduced Board Damage & Increased Safety

The smooth blade edges increase safety, increases blade strength and reduces board damage. The slim-line joint system reduces drag through the water and prevents rail damage caused by hard edges.

Thanks to the design and construction, the Lava paddle is also one of the strongest SUP paddles you will find and enjoys a near-zero failure rate.

Lightest All Round Paddle Available

Throughout the design process, all unnecessary weight was removed. This effort has resulted in the Lava being the lightest all round SUP paddle available at this price point. For example;the Lava one-piece cut to 75 (191cm) is only 15.7 ounces (456 grams) approximately 50-100 grams lighter than any other paddles in this price point.

This reduced weight translates into an improved paddling experience, while also being easier on your body.

REFLEX Carbon Construction

The Lava SUP paddles are built in our Reflex 90% 3k carbonconstruction. The smooth matte finish is great for grip and the medium flex shaft generates power and reacts quicker than other shafts.
