Pre-shortboard revolution single fin mini-mal, recalling a simpler time in surfboard shaping history. The Velzy-style mini-mal has seen a resurgence in recent years for the same design elements that made it a popular board in the late 1960’s.
The nose of a mini-mal is nice and chunky, the width and volume allowing for easy paddling and wave catching ability. This keeps you nice and stable down the line and allows you to stretch your front foot out for a little cheater five action.
The thick rails begin to mellow out towards the tail of the board, closing out the board with a classic single fin square tail.
You’ll catch everything from grovelers to overhead and everything in-between. Built in and for PNW surfing.
