ELS SURFBOARDS – THE GENERAL

The General is the first truly high-performance board that works great for all levels of surfers and is considered to be a one-board weapon for any surf trip. The General has proven to be great for reef breaks, thumping beaches, and excels in point breaks.

The wide point is pushed a bit forward in the centre, but the nose area is kept down and the tail is slightly pulled in to help it fit into a tighter curve. The thickness is also pushed forward, which helps get you on to waves easily. We kept the tail and rails thinned out to help hold through barrels and turns at speed.

The rocker is medium through the front half to get you into waves easily and get up to speed quickly. The tail has plenty of natural curves for turning control and snappy responsiveness. With a single concave going through from nose to tail and a double concave inside which equals speed and lift both on a rail and over flat spots while allowing for quick rail-to-rail transitions.

This is a high-performance model that can come as a quad or with 6 channels.
