The go to one board quiver when fun is needing to be had, the Hughes Surfboards Unknown is a modern day performance fish design catering for both progressive and timeless surfing.

Low entry rocker, subtle single to double concave and V off the tail offer instant speed and easy transitions, while the pulled-in plain shape provide control and spice when pushed in decent waves.

The Unknown’s flatter deck roll maintains a stable platform, and when coupled with a hip at the 7″ tail mark promotes the boards ability to transfer performance from ideal to unideal conditions.

Switch from a conventional thruster to a more playful 2+1 fin configuration and you have a performance shortboard and a small wave fish all in one.

Construction Material

PU

PU (Polyurethane) refers to the type of foam core which has been traditionally used in the manufacture of surfboards since the late 40’s and early 50’s.

This core has been glassed with polyester resins to produce surfboards of varying size and weights.

PU is still the most common form of construction as it offers a familiar feel and performance for most surfers.
