Hughes Surfboards ZORKN EPS EPOXY

A skate-inspired shortboard with unique tail and rail designs, supported by several different carbon applications.

Speed is instant due to its extremely efficient bottom curve, while the concaves enhance the rails arcing capabilities through turns. Toward the back however the introduction of more interacting carbon creates a firm driving tail which provides constant elastic energy much like a Dolphin’s fluke.

These unique characteristics coupled with degrees of asymmetry and tweaked fin setups will add another dimension to the contemporary surfboard design.

Construction Material

EPS

EPS or Expanded Polystyrene, is the foam core at the centre of our Epoxy Surfboard construction.

Digitally cut and constructed from a top-end high density expanded polystyrene core, they are laminated with a highly UV resistant epoxy resin along with parabolic carbon rods whichpromote their unique flex characteristics.

These boards are significantly lighter than regular surfboards and with their buoyant nature allow the rider the use of finer dimensions.

With an open cell core structure, maintenance and care are required.
