Hughs Surfboards Gherkin2

A small wave design, the Hughes Surfboard Gherkin has aflatter rocker, fuller rails and wider dimensions, making it extremely fast and responsive.

What is surprising however is that it still performs well in head high waves and beyond. To enhance this the widths have been pulled in a little, the wide square tail moderated and a small amount of V utilizedbehind the trailing fin to create a model that will perform in a variety of conditions…

Construction Material

PU

PU (Polyurethane) refers to the type of foam core which has been traditionally used in the manufacture of surfboards since the late 40’s and early 50’s.

This core has been glassed with polyester resins to produce surfboards of varying size and weights.

PU is still the most common form of construction as it offers a familiar feel and performance for most surfers.
